Pettipaug Docks Late Afternoon                                 Oil on canvas                                               Artist: Leif Nilsson*

Father’ Day ~ this Sunday is a great day to spend an afternoon at PYC, sailing on the river or go

boating in the Cove, picnicking on the deck or under the blue umbrellas on the lawn. Light the

grills!  We’re here to honor ALL dads: great and grand, fathers to be,  fathers who are~ father’s

to fur kids and fathers to other’s kids .Celebrate fatherhood and the influence of fathers in society

and more specifically all the PYC fathers who have selflessly given their time and effort to create

Pettipaug magic that we all enjoy. THANK YOU and Happy Father’s Day!

Communication

Hopefully you have all received the 2024 PYC Roster. The Commodore’s Comments will be sent

once a month. There will be weekly updates and reminders as there are many events being held

throughout the season. Please send me any comments, listings (for sale/ wanted/ a story, an

observation etc.) Thank you!

MID-SUMMER RACE and PARTY

Saturday, July 13th. More information will be sent in the weekly reminders regarding the RACE and

the NOR posted to the web-site. We have approximately 357 members so my thoughts were to

follow our post- race party (picnic) with a TALENT SHOW for all ages and all talents! Other suggestions

aways welcomed or sign up to be a talent for this event! commodore@pettipaug.org

Attendant

Christopher Pace has been hired to be the 2024 PYC Season attendant. You’ve perhaps seen Chris

mowing and weed whacking the PYC grounds throughout May and June. In July he will don another hat

and you’ll see him on the deck at PYC. Chris will be reporting to Kathryn Ryan. Please contact Kathryn

kryan1955@gmail.com with any requests you have or information you need. Inside the back cover of

your 2024 Roster you’ll see PYC Club Rules listed. Chris and all club members are asked to abide by these.

THANK YOU!
