Unfortunately, for the time being, Pettipaug Yacht Club must remain closed and private boats are not to be brought to the club until further notice. Volunteers are still working behind the scenes in hopes of an active season. Some updates worthy of sharing follow. Essex Savings Bank Community Investment Program Thank you to all the PYC/Essex Savings Bank customers who took time to cast a vote for Pettipaug Sailing Academy (PSA) in the annual Essex Savings Bank Community Investment Program. We have been notified that 64 votes were cast for PSA which resulted in a $1,052 donation to the Junior Sailing Program. We really appreciate your support. Meadow Moorings Permit Holders Members who have a permit for a Meadow Mooring (a mooring in front of Pettipaug Yacht Club) need to have them inspected. You should have been contacted and provided with inspection information by the Essex Harbor Master. Pettipaug Junior Saling(PSA) Registration is open for Pettipaug Sailing Academy, PSA. We hope and are planning for a full summer program. A great team is ready to instruct. If PSA needs to be canceled because of the COVID-19, registration will be fully reimbursed. If the sessions need to be moved around, those sailors that are enrolled will get first dibs to any rescheduling. Registration is on a first come basis, so encourage anyone interested in signing up to go to the Pettipaug Sailing Academy website<https://www.pettipaug.com/PYC-academyPage.html> and check out our program and application. We offer both recreational and racing sailing for youth. Club Race Officer Seminar Canceled - The United States Sailing Association (USSA) one day race management course scheduled for April 25th at Essex Yacht Club has been canceled. Gowrie Group Connecticut River Leukemia Cup Regatta Postponed - The third annual Connecticut River Leukemia Cup Regatta has been postponed till Fall â tentatively scheduled for October 3rd Annual Yearbook Yearbooks can be expected mid May.
