Good morning~

What a beautiful summer morning, enjoy every moment. I’ve a few items to discuss with all of you.

This weekend there will NOT be a formal attendant on duty. I’m asking the usual BOG members to

stop by which many already do. My cell # is 860.391.7352, text or call with any questions

etc. Sandy 860.395-7173 text, Dave Wemett and Jeff Going are also usually about.

However, if there is an emergency  ALWAYS call 911.

Tonight there is a reservation for a dinner party on the deck at 6 p.m. The group has

use of the Commodore’s room, deck and grills . They may have 12-40 people.

I have no desire to keep repeating something that by now should be engrained as

part of  summer behavior at PYC. So again: PLEASE do not allow your kids

in the  launch area when boats are launching and being retrieved.

Not only  kids,~ dogs and people of any age should not put themselves or others in

harm’s way. You only need to witness a boat quickly slipping and dropping off the

hoist to perceive  what could happen.

And of course~ No dogs on the  main deck...dogs allowed on south deck. So far so good.

What we do need is your help.  Many of you frequent  PYC often during the week and

weekends. There is a watering can in the ladies room (turquoise on top of the new locker)

and men’s room, aluminum. Water can be taken from the faucet near the shower. Areas

MEMBER’S BOATS AND MOWING SCHEDULE:  Will send this week.

Jeff and Dave will send me the dates and times for members to come help move their boats so we

may mow. I will send that to  all. In the beginning of the season when we did not have many boats it

was easier for  the attendant and a few  of us to just  move and mow. Now, we’re pretty much sardined

in the member’s  boat area so let’s all help. THANK YOU.

If you see it do it... Roman Daniels, Chris Perry and many others have volunteered to weed whack, trim,

clip etc. The more help in consistently keeping the weeds at bay, the easier on the eye and the back .

Your help is so appreciated!

PETTIPAUG 2025~

PJSA~ such a joy to hear the kids having a blast and the instructor’s hanging out and the parents too~ enjoying

this treasure of  a club. It has been so warm and Amy, JB and the PJSA staff never complain, always smiles. Amazing

commitment. The scows sail on Tuesdays and all fleets sail on Thursdays, but sailing is never limited at PYC. PJSA’s

schedule needs to be respected but great to see  so many sunfish with their bright colored sails on the water.

TO DATE: We have held Commissioning, The Commodore’s Handicap Race, (3) ONE DESIGN (4) BLUE JAY RACES

The Hawkin’s Race, Sunfish Regatta, The Mid-Summer Race . ELEVEN sailing events!  Each event  was followed by a

post- race party (thank you Dave Courant & Roz) and the New Member’s Gathering.  Compliments and gratitude to all of

the race Committee members  who give up  their day to watch over others. Compliments  always score better than

complaints for most occasions. We always need RC members!  Thank you to all who have been  involved in  many

of the activities to date, it’s a long list of volunteers.

THE SHIP’S STORE: Ali Charbonnier has items that were pre-ordered and have now arrived for pick-up and payment.
