Subject: 2025 EYC Willets Memorial Oct 4 - PHRF and Ideal18

Hi Everyone!

Don't put your boats away yet. There's lots more racing ahead!

On October 4, the Essex Yacht Club will again host the Thomas S. Willets, Jr. Memorial regatta.

As prior contestants, prospects and suspects, you and your sailing friends are invited to participate

in this first of the three PHRF races comprising the Tri-Club Series sponsored annually by EYC,

Essex Corinthian Yacht Club, and Pettipaug Yacht Club respectively on successive Saturdays in

October. See the Notice of Race and Entry form attached.

Each club regatta is a separate event, but the PHRF boat with the best combined performance in

all three will be awarded the Tri-Club Trophy. For the Essex regatta, in addition to the PHRF class

for boats 23' and larger racing for the Willets Memorial Trophy, we will also have a class for ldeal 18s.

So sign up soon.

The Willetts Memorial is a fun race for boats like a J-24, Beneteau 25, Evelyn 26, Pearson 26,

Stone Horse 28, Sabre 28s and 30s, all such Nonsuches, one offs, and even an occasional trimaran

or a 43' ocean racer! Club membership is not required; just a boat with a PHRF rating. If you don't

have a rating, the Race Committee will assign one.

So please share the attached NOR and Entry form with your memberships and racing friends.

A replay gathering to announce results and present awards will follow racing at 1700. Wouldn't it

be great to have 18 boats on the line!? And 12 Ideals!?
