Dear Pettipaug members,

All Pettipaug sailors are invited to sail in the Mid-Summer Regatta this Saturday, August 13th.

This is a distance race scored using the Portsmouth handicap. The course is typically 3 - 4 miles. The race can take anywhere between 1 - 3 hours based on your boat and skills.  The final results will be calculated, based on your sailing time and the rating of your boat. This way, with an optimist you can beat any faster (and slower) boat!!

The Notice Of Race and Sailing Instructions are attached.

Please register by adding your name, boat type, sail number and Portsmouth rating to the form via the link below. It will speed up registration and calculations the day of the event. Don’t worry if you do not know the rating of your boat. Just sign up and your rating will be looked up by the Race Committee. How nice would it be if we could get all boats on the water one more time?

Registration Midsummer Handicap Race

Regatta Chair, Brian Donahue will host the Skipper's Meeting at 9:30am sharp. First start will be at 11:30am

Awards for first, second and third place will be presented at the beginning of the Mid-Summer Party.

As a reminder, just a few details on the Midsummer Party:

• PYC Mid-Summer Party, Saturday, August 13
• Regatta Awards, Cocktails, Fiesta and Live music starting at 5:00 pm
• Please bring your favorite Mexican style dish to share.
• $5 per person, which includes beverages (adult and non-alcoholic)
