[PYC-News] Connecticut River Leukemia Cup Opportunities May 4-5
Hi all, There are many different opportunities to enjoy and participate the weekend of May 4-5 here in Essex. Please check out all the ways to participate. Come sail! It is a 2 day regatta, Saturday and Sunday, for all small sailboats. There will be fleets for boats with 5 or more entries and handicap races for all other sailors not in a fleet. This is a perfect time to get motivated for an early start to the spring sailing season. Register at https://yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=7311 Come party! There is a party Saturday evening starting at 5 on the Becky Thatcher docked at Essex Island. The party is open to the public, there will be live music, silent auction, and raffles, all to benefit Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tickets are limited and may be purchased in advance at http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=sxskahdab&oeidk=a07eg4ewv7y8e9b341a Come volunteer! As one of the sponsoring clubs, we are expected to provide some volunteers to help with the evening festivities. Remember, we are trying to run as much as we can on volunteers to ensure all money collected goes to LLS. We need volunteers to help set up starting at 3, and then during the party starting at 5 volunteers to help with the auction and raffle tickets. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks for considering. If you can lend a hand for an hour or more, please let me know at commodore@pettipaug.org Come donate! If you can't make it to the weekend events but would still like to participate, you may make a donation to LLS through the Pettipaug Team page. All money goes directly to LLS and you will be helping our club in our friendly competition with the other sponsoring clubs. No donation too small! Donations may be made at https://pages.leukemiacup.org/ctwhv/ct19/PettipaugYachtClub Sincerely, Kathryn Ryan Commodore, Pettipaug Yacht Club commodore@pettipaug.org Please do not reply to this email, send any questions directly to me at email above.
