[PYC-News] Pettipaug Yacht Club: Come join us Saturday, July 13
Welcome to our Mid-summer Celebration. We will be hosting a regatta and party on July 13 for members and sincerely hope you will join us for one or both of the events. Details about the day follow here: Midsummer Regatta: All dinghies are invited to sail our long distance course starting off the dock at the club. You will need to sign up at the club and have your boat rigged and in the water prior to the 12:30 skippers meeting. Racing starts at 1:00 prompt. Awards to be presented at evening party. All junior sailors from the club and Sailing Academy are invited to join an experienced Scow sailor on his boat for the Midsummer Regatta. Sailors should be at PYC before noon to join their skippers, race starts at 1:00. Please reach out to Keith Kraner at kandakrane@aol.com no later than Friday to secure your spot. Grab a friend and sign up for a fun afternoon on the river. Midsummer Party: Vive La France. Please join us for an evening of friends and fun. There is a $5 cover charge and beverages are included, please bring a dish to share. Cocktails and Food Starts at 5:00 pm. Regatta Awards at 6:00. Entertainment at 6:15. Storming of the Bastille is provided by the PYC Never, Ever Ready for Prime Time Players. â¦July 14 1789. Paris, France. The attack on the Government (the Haves) by the Commoners (the Have Nots) will be re-played PYC style. PYC members will shout loudly in the stands, bang their pots, and cheer on their team of Haves or Have Nots. Expect the unexpected.. the only guarantee is "se marrer". And of course, "Qu'ils mangent du gateau" Many cakes available to sample and share. Madame Defarges, Napoleons, Marie Antoinettes all welcome to join in the crowd. Bring your pots, wear your berets, and please join us for evening of entertainment.
